I had a delightful author visit to the small rural town of Creede Colorado. The beautiful drive there took me along the Silver Thread Scenic byway of old mining camps and high mountain passes, including over the steepest continuously paved road in Colorado up and over Slumgullion pass at 11,530 feet! (I have to come back next Summer or Fall when the Aspen leaves are on the trees!) It was such a delightful character-filled town and I got to enjoy my first snowfall of this year! And every student in the school in grades PreK-6th grade got a Turkey book bought by Mineral County!!
